ORDER

Seeking to direct the respondents to grant permission and adequate police protection for conducting the annual village temple festival of Pattapillaipudur Sri Muppidathi Amman Sri Santhanamariyamman situated Pattapillaipudur Village, Nanguneri Taluk, Tirunelveli District scheduled to be held from 03.08.2026 to 5.08.2026 by considering the petitioner's representation dated 11.06.2026, this writ petition is filed.

2. When the matter is taken up for hearing, the learned Government Advocate(Crl.side) submitted that no representation has been received from the petitioner so far.

3. Heard the learned counsel on either side and carefully perused the materials available on record.

4. In this regard, the petitioner is directed to give a fresh representation in person to the 3rd respondent police. On receipt of the same, the 3rd respondent is directed to afford necessary police protection for conducting the annual village 2/4

temple festival of Pattapillaipudur Sri Muppidathi Amman Sri Santhanamariyamman situated at Pattapillaipudur Village, Nanguneri Taluk, Tirunelveli District scheduled to be held from 03.08.2026 to 05.08.2026 on payment of necessary charges in terms of G.O(Ms)No.139, Home (Pol-VIII) Department, dated 04.03.2019.
