The Commissioner Of Treasuries and Accounts, Chennai 15 Common Prayer: Writ Petition filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India, to issue a Writ of Mandamus, directing the respondents to give promotion to the petitioner to the post of Accountant with effect from the date when it was due retrospectively and thereby include his name in the appropriate place in the panel of Accountant for promotion to the post of Superintendent for the year 2013-2014 with all consequential service and Monetary benefits. For Petitioner : Mr.V.Kannan For Respondents : Mr.M.Jeyakumar Additional Government Pleader COMMON ORDER All these writ petitioners have filed these writ petitions claiming promotion to the post of Superintendent in the Department of Treasuries and Accounts.

2.The learned counsel appearing on behalf of the writ petitioners fairly made a submission that all these writ petitioners were already promoted to the post of Superintendent during the year 2016 and now, they are working as Superintendent. However, there are certain discrepancies in the matter of grant of promotion during the year 2013 and the writ petitioners have to redress their grievances in the matter of seeking promotions on par with their juniors if they have already been promoted. This Court is of the considered opinion that if at all any such grievances exist with reference to particular junior or otherwise, it is left open to the writ petitioners to redress the same in the manner known to law.

However, the writ petitioners have already been promoted to the post of Superintendents and now working and therefore, no further adjudication is required in these writ petitions. 3.Accordingly, these writ petitions stand disposed of with liberty to redress their grievances in the manner known to law, if the grievances exist.

No costs.

Consequently, connected miscellaneous petitions are closed.
