ORDER

Heard the learned counsel for the writ petitioner and the learned Special Government Pleader for the respondents 1 to 4. Considering the nature of relief to be granted, issuance of notice to the respondents 5 and 6 is dispensed with. 2.The petitioner challenges the peace committee meeting decision taken vide proceedings bearing Na.Ka.No.A4/22/2022 dated 03.08.2022. It is true that the second respondent had convened the said peace committee meeting on 03.08.2022 and endeavoured to resolve the issues between 'A' party and 'B' party. The decisions have also been minuted. But such decisions are without authority of law. They do not have any statutory force. Peace committee meeting decisions are not amenable to legal challenge. However, I make it clear that the official respondents will not aid in enforcing the said decision. 2/4

The petitioner is at liberty to work out his rights against the private respondents in the manner known to law.

3.With this clarification and with the aforesaid liberty to the writ petitioner, the writ petition is disposed of. No costs. Consequently, connected miscellaneous petitions are closed.
