This writ petition has been filed seeking the issuance of a writ of mandamus directing the first respondent to issue a passport to the petitioner under File No. MD1066833755626 dated 15.05.2026, based on the petitioner's representations/explanations dated 08.06.2026 and 16.06.2026, by recording the name of the petitioner's stepfather, namely Alagu, as his father.

2. When the Court pointed out to the learned counsel for the petitioner that the issue involved in this writ petition requires adjudication before the competent civil court, the learned counsel for the petitioner sought permission to withdraw the writ petition with liberty to approach the civil court.

3. Granting such liberty, this writ petition stands dismissed as withdrawn. No costs.
