PRAYER : Petition filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India, to issue a Writ of Mandamus, directing the respondents 1 and 2 to take immediate action over the representations of the petitioner dated 13.03.2018 and 17.03.2018 and direct them to close the gravel quarry in S.No.248/2 in Vaethierenthal group, Manamadurai Taluk, Sivagangai District, owing to the violations in granting license and conduction of the gravel quarry by the 3rd respondent. [Order of the Court was made by R.MAHADEVAN, J.] This Writ Petition has been filed for issuance of a Writ of Mandamus, directing the respondents 1 and 2 to take immediate action over the

representations of the petitioner dated 13.03.2018 and 17.03.2018 and direct them to close the gravel quarry in S.No.248/2 in Vaethierenthal group, Manamadurai Taluk, Sivagangai District, owing to the violations of quarrying licence committed by the 3rd respondent.

2. Today, when the matter was taken up for hearing, the learned counsel appearing for the third respondent submitted that the quarrying licence period itself was over by July 2018 and hence, nothing survives in this Writ Petition.
