[Order of the Court was made by R.SUBRAMANIAN, J.] Prayer in the Writ Petition reads as follows:- ''To issue a Writ of Mandamus directing the respondents to consider the representation dated 15.06.2024 within the time stipulated by this Court.''

2. The erection of statue in the premises of Courts cannot be subject matter of a Petition under Article 226 of the Constitution of India. It is the decision that has to be taken by the authorities considering the ground situation. We, therefore, do not think there can be a Mandamus, directing the Registrar General of this Court to consider the representation of the petitioner to erect any statue let alone the statue of Kannagi within the premises of the High Court.
