ORDER

Heard Ms.P.Kalaiyarasi Bharathi, learned counsel for the petitioner and Mr.D.S.Nedunchezhian, learned Government Advocate for the respondents.

2.The petitioner seeks a mandamus directing the second and third respondents ie., District Collector and District Employment 1/3

Officer, Virudhunagar District to consider representation dated 05.02.2018 for employment to the post of Anganwadi worker or any other suitable post in existing vacancy in and around Virudhunagar District.

3.When the matter is called, learned counsel for the petitioner would submit that the official website of Tamil Nadu Social Welfare Department reveals that a notification is imminent calling for applications for the post of Anganwadi worker. She would thus be content with a direction being issued to the respondents to consider objectively her application for the post of Anganwadi worker as and when submitted by her in response to the anticipated Notification.

4.The specific plea for objectively is on account of discrimination that the petitioner states she encountered in earlier calls for appointment. She apprehends that the discrimination may continue.

5.Learned counsel for the respondents is thus directed to ensure that the question of discrimination in matter of appointment does not arise and the application of the petitioner be considered fairly, in accordance with law and subject to all applicable rules and regulations.
