Today, when the matter was taken up for hearing, the victim girl along with the accused appeared before this Court and stated that they already got married and a child was born to them. The age of the victim was 16 years, at the time of occurrence.
2.The learned Additional Public Prosecutor would submit that in this case investigation has to be completed. However, paternity and marriage between the victim and the accused were accepted. 3.At this stage, quashment of FIR is not possible. However, considering the facts and circumstances of the case, the respondent police is hereby directed to complete the investigation and file a final report, within a period of two months, from the date of receipt of copy of the order. Thereafter, the concerned trial Court is directed to process the same, as per rules and after taking cognizance, directed to complete the trial, within a period of five months, from the date of taking cognizance. 2/4
