This Writ Petition has been filed seeking issuance of a Writ of Mandamus directing respondents 5 and 6 to grant planning approval for the petitioner's development and building permission by passing final orders on the petitioner's application submitted through the Single Window Portal, bearing reference No. QOKWTVBB/SWP/2025 dated 15.09.2025, within such time as may be fixed by this Court, in the light of the approval already granted by the fourth respondent in ROC No.QOKWTVBB/SWP/2025/2026/TCP dated 27.03.2026.

4. The learned counsel for the petitioner submitted that the petitioner association had submitted an online application on 01.09.2025 seeking revision of the original layout under Sections 49 and 54 of the Tamil Nadu Town and Country Planning Act, 1971. Subsequently, the third respondent issued revised layout approval and requested the fifth respondent Corporation to issue final approval. The grievance of the petitioner is that, despite the statutory planning authority having granted approval for the revised layout, the fifth respondent Corporation has not passed final orders. The petitioner has also submitted an online application dated 15.09.2025 through the Single Window Portal seeking planning approval and building permission. Since no action has been taken on the said application, the petitioner has filed the present writ petition before this Court.

5. The learned counsel further submitted that it would suffice if this Court issues a direction to the respondents to consider the petitioner's online application dated 15.09.2025 and pass appropriate orders thereon within a time frame to be fixed by this Court.

6. Considering the above facts and circumstances of the case and without going into the merits of the case, this Writ Petition is disposed of with a direction to the respondents, to consider the application of the petitioner dated 15.09.2025 and pass appropriate orders on merits and in accordance with law. Such exercise shall be completed as expeditiously as possible, preferably within a period of six (6) weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order.
