ORDER

The relief sought for in the present Writ Petition is for a direction to direct the respondent to appoint the writ petitioner in any one of the vacancies, especially in the Supervisor post in the respondent society.

2.The writ petitioner claims that he is fully qualified and therefore, he must be provided with an appointment in the respondent Co-operative Society.

3.The very relief as such sought for in the present Writ Petition is absolutely misconceived. Appointments are to be made strictly in accordance with the recruitment rules in force. Mere submission of representation would not confer any right on the candidate to seek for an appointment. For the purpose of securing appointment, the writ petitioner has to participate in the process of selection and only in the event of selection, the writ petitioner would be appointed and not otherwise.

W.P.(MD)No.11759/2014 4.Thus, the direction as such sought for to direct the respondent to issue appointment cannot be granted and it is left open to the writ petitioner to participate in the process of selection, if any notified by the competent authorities. 5.With these observations, this Writ Petition stands dismissed. No costs.
