O RDER This Criminal Original Petition is filed seeking for a direction to the respondents Police not to harass the petitioner basing on a complaint given by the third respondent.

It is submitted by the learned counsel appearing for the petitioner that there are disputes between the petitioner and the third respondent, on account of which, a false complaint has been filed and thereby, the respondents 1 and 2 are harassing the petitioner. The learned counsel appearing for the petitioner drew the attention of this Court to the pictures filed along with this petition, whereunder the Police personnel were found in the agricultural field where operations are going on. According to the petitioner, he has been in possession and doing agricultural operations, whereas, the respondent No.3 is making an attempt to dispossess the petitioner with the help of the Police.

3. The learned Government Advocate (criminal side) appearing for the official respondents submits that on the basis of a complaint given by the third respondent, C.S.R.No.74 of 2023 has been registered and the enquiry is going on. It is also submitted that there is a rival complaint 2/4

given, basing on which, C.S.R.No.75 of 2023 was registered and both of them are pending.

In view of the submissions made by both sides, this Criminal Original Petition is disposed of directing the respondents Police to dispose of the representations pending before them in C.S.R.Nos.74 and 75 of 2023 as quickly as possible not later than two weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order. It is needless to say that the Police are not expected to interfere in the civil dispute between the parties.
