Writ Petitions filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India for issuance of Writ of Mandamus, directing the respondents to reimburse the medical expenses incurred for the petitioners cancer treatment taken at Regional Cancer Centre, Thiruvananthapuram for a sum of Rs.12,33,244/- with 9 percent of interest by considering her representations dated 31.12.2024, 29.01.2025, 05.03.205, 30.04.2025 and 13.06.2025.

O R D E R

The writ petition has been filed for the issuance of a Writ of Mandamus, directing the respondents to reimburse the medical expenses incurred for the petitioner's cancer treatment at the Regional Cancer Centre, Thiruvananthapuram, amounting to Rs.12,33,244/-, along with 2/6

9% interest, by considering her representations dated 31.12.2024, 29.01.2025, 05.03.2025, 30.04.2025, and 13.06.2025.

2. Heard the learned counsel for the parties. By consent of both parties, the Writ Petition is taken up for final disposal at the admission stage itself.

3. When the matter was taken up for hearing, the learned counsel for the petitioner submitted that, although several grounds have been raised in the writ petition, it would suffice if this Court issues a direction to the sixth respondent to consider the petitioner's representation dated 13.06.2025 and pass appropriate orders thereon, within a time frame to be fixed by this Court.

4. Considering the limited request made by the learned counsel for the petitioner, this Court, without going into the merits of the case, directs the sixth respondent to consider the petitioner's representation dated 13.06.2025 on its own merits and in accordance with law and to pass appropriate orders within a period of six weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order.

5. With the above directions, this writ petition is disposed of. No costs.
