...Contemnors/Respondents PRAYER: Contempt Petition filed under Section 10 of the Contempt of Courts Act, praying this Court to punish the contemnors/respondents for their wilful disobedience of the order passed by this Court in W.P(MD) No.5520 of 2021 dated 12.03.2021.

Writ Petition is filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India, praying this Court to issue a writ of Mandamus, directing the respondent to pay 18 percentage interest for the belated payment of terminal benefits of P.F, Gratuity, and unavailed Leave Salary and commutation payable to the petitioner from the date of his retirement i.e., 31-07-2019 to till the date of actual payment made to him i.e. 22-01-2021 and all other attendant benefits to him within the stipulated period. 1/3

This contempt petition is filed that order of this Court in W.P(MD) No.5520 of 2021 dated 12.03.2021 has not been complied with. 2.The writ petition was disposed of by this Court with a direction to the respondent to pay interest of the terminal benefits within the stipulated period. The learned counsel for the respondent Transport Corporation has produced a proceedings that commutation amount of Rs.7,31,491/- has been paid to the petitioner on 22.01.2021 and interest of Rs.5,571/- was also paid on 17.11.2021. 3.Recording the proceeding of the respondent transport Corporation, this contempt petition is closed.
