O R D E R

This petition has been filed to change the investigation of the case in crime No.133 of 2019 dated 15.07.2019 on the file of K.Paramathi Police Station, Karur to Inspector of Police, CBCID of Karur District.

2.The learned counsel appearing for the petitioner submitted that the daughter of the petitioner committed suicide immediately after marriage for the reason that the accused persons tortured her. On receipt of the complaint, the 1st respondent registered the case https://hcservices.ecourts.gov.in/hcservices/ 1/2

CRL.O.P (MD) No.17972 of 2019 in crime No.133 of 2019 and thereafter, the investigation stand still in progress. Therefore, he seeks direction. 3.The learned Government Advocate (criminal side) would submit that initially the case has been registered for the offence under Section 174(3) Cr.P.C., and on investigation, they found that A1 to A3 were involved in this crime and A1 and A2 have been arrested and remanded to judicial custody and they have also altered the section into 306 IPC and the investigation is in progress. 4.Considering the said submission, the change of investigation at this stage will affect the entire investigation and hence, the prayer sought for by the petitioner cannot be granted. However, the 1st respondent is directed to complete the investigation, within a period of 12 weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order and the 2nd respondent is directed to monitor the investigation done by the 1st respondent and also ensure that the 1st respondent shall comply with the order of this Court.

5.With the above direction, this criminal original petition is disposed of.
