ORDER
This petition is filed to direct the respondent to expedite the investigation in Crime No.07/2021, dated 15.06.2021 and to file the final report within the stipulated time as may be fixed by this Court.
2.The petitioner is the defacto complainant in Crime No.7 of 2021, which was registered for the offences punishable under Sections 498(A), 323, 354, 406 and 506(i) IPC, on the file of the respondent police. Now, the grievance of the petitioner is that even after lapse of five months, no progress has been made in the investigation.
3.The learned Additional Public Prosecutor would submit that now, the matter is pending before the Social Welfare Department for consideration. He would further submit that so many matters referred to Social Welfare Department and the same are pending for long time and hence, there is a trouble to the investigating officers to complete the investigation process. Crl.O.P.(MD)No.16847 of 2021 direction to the Social Welfare Department, to complete the process immediately.
4. In view of the said submission, there shall be a direction to the respondent police to complete the investigation, depending upon the outcome of the Social Welfare Department and file a final report within a period of five months from the date of order of Social Welfare Department. After filing of the final report, compliance report must be submitted to the Registry of this Court.
5.With the above direction, this Criminal Original Petition is disposed of.
