Prayer: Writ Petition filed under Article 226 of the constitution of India, seeking for the issuance of a Writ of Mandamus directing the 5th respondent to consider the representation to register the complaint dated 23.06.2025 and to transfer the investigation to any other agencies to CBCID or CBI.

ORDER

The petitioner with a grievance that her complaint has not been acted upon by the respondent police, has approached this court to transfer the investigation.

2.The learned Additional Public Prosecutor on instructions submits that the petitioner sent the complaint to the Commissioner of Police on 23.06.2025 and it was forwarded to Anna Nagar Police Station, from where it was forwarded to Mattuthavani Police Station due to jurisdiction. Finally now it has reached the All Women Police Station, Anna Nagar, Madurai on 20.07.2025.

3.The Inspector of Police, All Women Police Station, Anna Nagar is present before this court and submits that they received the complaint on 20.07.2025 and immediately she called the petitioner through mobile phone and she replied that she is not in a position to appear before All Women Police Station.

4.The learned counsel for the petitioner submits the petitioner would appear on 26.07.2025 for enquiry before All Women Police Station and co-operate for enquiry.

5.Considering the submissions made on either side, this court directs the All Women Police Station, Anna Nagar, Madurai to conduct a preliminary enquiry and take a decision within a period of ten days from the date of appearance of the petitioner for enquiry. 6.With the above direction, this petition is closed. 23.07.2025 DSK 3/5
