PRAYER: Writ Petition filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India, praying this Court to issue a Writ of Mandamus, directing the respondents 4 and 5 to provide adequate police protection to the petitioner and her community people for taking Mulapari and participate to the temple festival and worship peacefully in the temple namely Arulmigu Sree Aiyanar, Arulmigu Sree Manthaiamman and Arulmigu Sree Nondichamy Temple on 14.08.2024 and 16.08.2024 situating at Madurai North Taluk, Thiruppalai Village, Madurai City on the basis of petitioner's representation dated 29.07.2024 within the time stipulated by this Court.

ORDER
The Writ Petition has been filed seeking orders to direct the respondents 4 and 5 to provide adequate police protection to the writ petitioner and her community people for taking Mulapari and participate to the temple festival and worship peacefully in the temple namely Arulmigu Sree Aiyanar, Arulmigu Sree Manthaiamman and Arulmigu Sree Nondichamy Temple on 14.08.2024 and 16.08.2024 situating at 2/6
Madurai North Taluk, Thiruppalai Village, Madurai City on the basis of writ petitioner's representation dated 29.07.2024 within the time stipulated by this Court.
2. Mr.P.Kottai Chamy, learned Government Advocate (Criminal Side) takes notice for the respondents 1 to 5 and Mr.R.Suriya Narayanan, learned counsel takes notice for the sixth respondent. By consent, this writ petition is taken up for final disposal at the admission stage itself.
3. The learned counsel appearing for the sixth respondent would submit that past some years each community people was assigned with some specific work relating to the temple festival and the writ petitioner's community was assigned to the work of samiyadi, whereas, the sixth respondent's community was allotted with taking Mulapari and that since the writ petitioner has requested to change the procedures, which were followed for more than 50 years, a peace committee meeting came to be convened by the third respondent and in that meeting, they have decided to follow the practice/procedures, which came to be followed in the previous year and the writ petitioner's requisition can be considered in 3/6
the meeting to be conducted in the month of Aani (Mdp) with regard to the festival to be conducted in the next year, but the writ petitioner's side has refused to accept the resolution and refused to sign in the resolution meeting.
4. Considering the fact that the said temple festival starts from today (14.08.2024), the concerned official respondents are directed to follow the resolution passed in the peace committee meeting held on 10.08.2024 and they are further directed to convene a meeting after the completion of the festival with regard to the rights now claimed.
5. With the above directions, the Writ Petition is disposed of. No costs.
