ORDER
This Criminal Original Petition has been filed seeking to quash the proceedings in C.C.No.46 of 2015, on the file of the learned Judicial Magistrate, Bodinayakkanur, for the offences under Sections 166, 167, 217, 294(b) and 506(ii) of IPC. The petitioner is a police official. The respondent herein is the complainant. 2.When the matter was taken up for hearing, I am suggested to the learned counsel on either side to prevail upon their respective parties to amicably resolve the issue. I am glad to record that good counsel given by the Advocate concerned has been accepted by both the parties. The petitioner met the respondent who is a practising lawyer in his house and conveyed his sense of regret and a photograph showing both of them shaking their hands, as also produced before this Court.
Therefore, when the parties themselves have amicably resolved the issue, there is no purpose in continuing the impugned prosecution. The impugned prosecution stands quashed and the Criminal Original Petition is allowed, I place on record my appreciation of the grace shown by the respondent in giving a quietus to the issue. Consequently, connected miscellaneous petitions are closed.
