O R D E R
This Writ Petition has been filed seeking issuance of a Writ of Mandamus directing the second respondent to consider the representation of the petitioners dated 05.08.2021 and issue a patta in respect of the property comprised in Old Survey No.245/1 and New Survey No.527/1, measuring a total extent of 1.065 Hectares, situated at ThelungupattiPerumthalur Village, Kulithalai Taluk, Manaparai, Tiruchirappalli District (now Karur District), in favour of the petitioners.
2. The grievance of the petitioners is that the petitioners along with one Saraswathy jointly purchased the land comprised in Old Survey No. 245/1 and New Survey No.527/1, measuring a total extent of 70 cents, from late Mr.Muthusamy, his legal heirs and one Mr.Subramani in the Page No. 2 of 6
year 1999. Though one of the vendors, namely Mr.Subramani, filed a suit against the petitioners and others in O.S.No.148 of 2000 on the file of the District Munsif Court, Kulithalai, the same was dismissed on 18.04.2002. Since the purchase of the said land, the petitioners and the said Saraswathy were in joint possession thereof. Thereafter, the petitioners and the said Saraswathy amicably and mutually divided the property among themselves through a registered partition deed dated 09.02.2007.
3. Since the petitioners decided to settle their property in favour of their legal heirs, they gave a representation to the respondents on 05.08.2021 seeking issuance of patta. Though the second respondent conducted an enquiry and recorded statements, no patta was granted. Therefore, the petitioners were constrained to file the present Writ Petition.
4. The learned Special Government Pleader appearing for the respondents submits that the petitioners' representation will be considered on its own merits and in accordance with law, within a period of twelve weeks.

Recording the above submissions and without expressing any opinion on the merits of the matter, this Writ Petition is disposed of with a direction to the second respondent to consider the petitioners' representation dated 05.08.2021 on its own merits and in accordance with law and pass appropriate orders within a period of twelve weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order. The said representation shall be considered and disposed of after conducting an enquiry. The second respondent is also directed to afford a reasonable opportunity of hearing during such enquiry to the petitioner and any other interested parties who may be affected by the decision. In the event of any rival claims, the same may be agitated before the competent civil court. There shall be no order as to costs.
