Prayer : Criminal Original Petition filed under Section 482 of the Code of Criminal Procedure, to direct the 2nd respondent to expedite the investigation in Crime No.222 of 2016, dated 16.10.2016 and file the final report within the stipulated time as may be fixed by this Court.

ORDER

This petition has been filed to direct the 2nd respondent to expedite the investigation in Crime No.222 of 2016, dated 16.10.2016 and file the final report within the stipulated time fixed by this Court.

2.The petitioner is the defacto complainant in Crime No.222 of 2016, which was registered for the offences punishable under Sections 3(1) of TNPPDL Act and Sections 294(b) and 323 IPC on the file of the second respondent police. Now, the grievance of the petitioner is that even after the lapse of 4 years, no progress has been made in the investigation.

3.The learned Additional Public Prosecutor would submit that investigation has already been completed and the final report was made ready on 16.11.2021 itself and the same may presented within a period of 15 days.

Crl.O.P.(MD)No.16888 of 2021 report within a period of 15 days from the date of receipt of a copy of this order. After filing of the final report, compliance report must be submitted to the Registry of this Court. 5.With the above direction, this Criminal Original Petition is disposed of.
