Respondents PRAYER: Writ Petition under Article 226 of the Constitution of India, to issue a Writ of Certiorarified Mandamus, to call for the records pertaining to the impugned order in Na.Ka.No.888/Si.1/E1/2011, dated 27.03.2013 on the file of the respondent No.2 and quash the same as illegal and consequently, direct the respondent No.2 to include the petitioners in the panel for promotion to the post of High School Headmaster/Headmistress on par with the B.T.Assistant Teachers and Tamil Pandits as per the seniority in service and promote the petitioners as High School Headmaster/Headmistress with all service and other monetary benefits within the time stipulated by this Court.

ORDER

The learned counsel for the writ petitioners made a submission that the writ petitioners are entitled for grant of retrospective promotion with reference to the Government Orders in force. However, the claim of the writ petitioners were not considered and thus, they are constrained to move the present writ petition. 2.The fact remains that the writ petitioner had attained the age of superannuation and retired from service. The grant of retrospective promotions are to be considered only after ascertaining the eligibility and other criteria fixed by the competent authority. Thus, if at all any grievance exists upon to the writ petitioner, it is left open to him to approach the competent authority for the redressal of his grievance. 3.With these observation, this writ petition stands disposed of. No costs.
