This Writ Petition has been filed seeking issuance of Writ of Mandamus, directing the second respondent to dispose the petition, dated 20.07.2024 presented by the petitioner under Section 166 of BNSS Act 2023 (Section 144 of Old Act-Criminal Procedure Code) within time stipulated by this Court.

2. When the matter is taken up for hearing today, the learned Additional Public Prosecutor appearing for the respondents would submit that the RDO has already called for a report from the Tahsildar, Periyakulam and after the receiving the same, he will complete the enquiry and dispose of the petition.

3. Recording the submission made by the learned Additional Public Prosecutor, the second respondent is directed to complete the enquiry and dispose of the petition presented by the petitioner within a period of one week from the date of receipt of copy of this order. 2/4

4. With the above direction, this writ petition stands disposed of. No costs.
