O R D E R
The Habeas Corpus Petition has been filed by the mother in extreme distress complaining that her son, Suriya, who is aged about 30 years and already married, had been missing on and from 01.08.2024. He got married only on 19.02.2024.
2. Parallely, an another complaint had been received at Tallakulam Police Station consequent to which FIR in Crime No.842 of 2024 had been registered on 05.08.2024, in which complaint, the complainant Mano had stated that his wife had gone missing.
3. The investigation has revealed that the son of the petitioner had taken away a sum Rs.33,000/- (Rupees Thirty Three Thousand only) from his house and had run away with the wife of the 2/6
said Mano/complainant in FIR in Crime No.842 of 2024. After investigation, the respondents have secured both the son of the petitioner and also the wife of the complainant Mano in FIR in Crime No.842 of 2024 before the third respondent Police/Tallakulam Police Station.
4. We have enquired with the son of the petitioner herein and impressed upon him the necessity to ensure that he does not bring tears to his mother and father and also to his wife whom he had married only on 19.02.2024. The irresponsible manner in which he has behaved, would only be a source of great disrepute to the family and we hope that this is not repeated again.
5. The petitioner is also present in Court.
6. We direct the son of the petitioner should return back the sum of Rs.33,000/- (Rupees Thirty Three Thousand only) belonging to the petitioner which he had taken away and return it in front of the second respondent/ Inspector of Police, Jaihindpuram Police Station, Madurai, to his mother. The respondents are at liberty to proceed further in manner known to law with respect to the First Information Report 3/6
registered against him. The said amount should be returned back on or before 13.09.2024.
