O R D E R
This Writ Petition has been filed seeking for a direction to the respondents Police to grant permission for conducting Aadi festival on 15.08.2023 at Sri Periyandavar, Sri Kasthurai Amman, Sri Muniyasamy Temples at Kasthuri Nayakkan Patty, Periyakottai Village, Dindigul East Taluk, Dindigul District, basing on a representation given by the petitioner on 30.06.2023.
2. It is submitted by the learned counsel appearing for the petitioner that the petitioner has been conducting the said programme every year and though the representation has been given by the petitioner on 30.06.2023, no orders have been passed so far.
3. The learned counsel appearing for the third respondent submits that a suit filed by the petitioner in respect of his poojariship was rightly dismissed by the trial Court.

4. The dismissal of a suit in respect of poojariship is nothing to do with the prayer that the petitioner is seeking in this petition.
5. The learned Government Advocate (criminal side) appearing for the official respondents, on the other hand, submits that on 08.08.2023, the petitioner and the rival groups appeared before the respondents Police and gave an undertaking that they will jointly perform the festival.
6. In view of the submission made by the learned Government Advocate (criminal side) appearing for the official respondents, this Writ Petition is disposed of directing the respondents Police to grant permission for conducting Aadi festival on 15.08.2023. There shall be no order as to costs.
