This Criminal Original Petition has been filed to direct the Respondent to file the final report in Crime No.199 of 2022. 2.The learned Government Advocate (Crl.side) for the Respondent would submit that the case had been registered based on the complaint of the Petitioner only on 11.08.2022. The accused mentioned in the FIR are absconding. Investigation is still proceeding. There cannot be any direction for a case registered on 11.08.2022. Therefore, the learned Government Advocate (Crl.side) seeks to dismiss this Petition. 3.Considering the case that had been registered on 11.08.2022 for the offences under Sections 294(b), 323, 324 and 506(ii) IPC, the police can investigate and lay the final report within 60 days. Therefore, the contention of the learned Government Advocate (Crl.side) is rejected. 4.In the light of the above, the Respondent/the Inspector of Police, Siruganur Police Station, Tiruchirappalli District, is directed to trace the 2/4

accused, proceed with the investigation and lay the final report within a period of 60 days from the date of receipt of a copy of this order. 5.With the above direction, this Petition stands disposed of.
