ORDER

Heard the learned counsel on either side.

2.The petitioner is a resident of Karur. He received a message on his mobile phone that he has been selected for Samsung Galaxy Award. The petitioner fell prey to the blandishment held out from the unknown account. He also deposited a sum of Rs.9,20,500/- in four installments in the account mentioned in the mobile message. The amount deposited by the petitioner vanished. He did not get any award or award amount. He feeling cheated and lodged a complaint before the District Crime Branch, Karur. It was registered as Crime No.5 of 2015. The petitioner's grievance is that no further action https://hcservices.ecourts.gov.in/hcservices/ 1/2

CRL OP(MD). No.17750 of 2015 was taken. Hence, this Criminal Original Petition came to be filed seeking transfer of investigation.

3.Since this is a Cyber Crime and the third respondent is in a position to handle the situation, the Director General of Police, (CBCID)is called upon to take a decision with regard to the entrustment of the investigation in this case. Therefore, the case is transferred from the file of the third respondent to CBCID. The Director General of Police (CBCID) will entrust the investigation to CBCID, Cyber Crime, Karur District.

4.With this direction, this Criminal Original Petition stands disposed of.
