[Order of the Court was made by S.S.SUNDAR, J.] This writ petition is filed for issuance of a writ of mandamus directing the respondents 1 to 4 not to grant permission for opening TASMAC Shop in Survey No.178/6B, behind North Street, Anjaneya Kovil Street, Papanasam, Thanjavur District, by considering the petitioner's representation dated 03.07.2023 within a time stipulated by this Court.
2. The petitioner states that the members of the public have serious objection for opening a TASMAC Shop in Survey No.178/6B and to that effect, the residents of the locality submitted a representation dated 03.07.2023 to the official respondents. Since no action was taken by the official respondents based on the said representation, this writ petition is filed.
3. The District Manager of TASMAC / second respondent has now addressed a letter, dated 05.08.2023, to the learned Standing Counsel for TASMAC stating that the proposal to open a TASMAC Shop in Survey No. 178/6B is withdrawn.
4. This Court finds that since the petitioner's representation has been considered by the official respondents, no order is necessary in this writ petition.
5. Therefore, recording the contents of the second respondent's communication dated 05.08.2023, this writ petition is closed. No costs. Consequently, connected miscellaneous petition is closed. [S.S.S.R., J.] [D.B.C., J.] 07.08.2023 NCC :
