ORDER

The present Writ Petition has been filed seeking for a Mandamus to direct the second respondent herein to disburse the amount of Rs.1,40,712/- (Rupees One Lakh Forty Thousand Seven Hundred and Twelve only) payable to the petitioner being the Retainer fee and fee bill for the month of January 2011 to 13.07.2011.

2. The petitioner has been appointed as Public Prosecutor for the Principal Sessions Court, Tirunelveli during the period 1996 to 2006 and 2006 to 2011. During the said period, he was entitled for retainer fee and also for the bills that he had raised. The petitioner had been denied the retainer fee and the fee bills for the month of January 2011 to 13.07.2011. The same has not been paid till date in spite of representation. Hence, the petitioner had approached this Court by way of Writ Petition. 2/4

3. Considering the limited prayer sought for in the Writ Petition, the second respondent shall disburse the amount as claimed by the petitioner within a period of eight (8) weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order, if otherwise he is found eligible.

4. With the above said observation, this Writ Petition is disposed of No costs.
