by considering the petitioner's representation dated 18.06.2024 within the time stipulated by this Court.

ORDER

This writ petition is filed for a mandamus to change the petitioner's name in the revenue record including the 'A' entries for S.No.3694/3 situate at Kombai Village, Uthamapalayam Taluk, Theni District, by removing the entry "Sarkar poramboke Kaali Manai".

2. The petitioner is a daily wager and belonging to the Below Poverty Line section in society. In 2004, he was provided free patta in Patta No.943 under the Natham Nilavari Thittam Scheme in respect of S.Nos.3694/3 and 3694/4 at Kombai Village. In respect of S.No.3694/4, the petitioner's name has been registered as land owner. However, with reference to the lands in S.No.3694/3, it is shown as "Sarkar Purampokku Kaali Manai" and as a result of this, the petitioner is unable to construct

the house. He had approached the respondents on every occasions to correct the entry but no action has been taken and on 18.06.2024, he had given a written representation to which also there is no response. Hence, the present writ petition.

3. Heard the learned counsel on either side.

Considering the above facts, this Writ Petition is allowed and a mandamus is issued to the respondents to consider the representation of the petitioner dated 18.06.2024 and pass orders within a period of six weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order.
