O RDER This Criminal Original Petition is filed seeking for a direction to the respondents 1 and 2 Police to protect the life and limb of the petitioner basing on a representation given by him on 20.05.2022.

It is submitted by the learned counsel appearing for the petitioner that there are disputes between the petitioner and his children and after the death of the petitioner's wife, the petitioner was driven out of the house by his children and thereby, he filed a complaint before the respondents Police on 20.05.2022 and no protection is given and thereby, he sought for suitable directions.

The learned Government Advocate (criminal side) appearing for the respondents 1 and 2 Police submits that the representation given by the petitioner on 20.05.2022 is registered as C.S.R.No.378 of 2022. During the course of enquiry, the petitioner has given statements withdrawing the representation and accordingly, the said representation was closed with a direction to the petitioner to approach the appropriate Court.

The learned counsel appearing for the petitioner, on the other hand, submits that before the Police Station, the petitioner's children have given an undertaking that they will take the petitioner back to his home and take care well. However, when they left the Police Station, again all his children have discarded him and are not permitting the petitioner to come to their house.

In view of the above, since the representation of the petitioner dated 20.05.2022 has already been disposed of, in case the petitioner has got any grievance against his family members in respect of entering into the house, the petitioner is at liberty to file a fresh application before the Police, on which, the Police are directed to consider the same keeping in view of the provisions of the Senior Citizen Act and dispose of the application without any delay.
