ORDER : The Court made the following order :- The petitioner/sole accused, apprehending arrest for the alleged offences under Sections 341, 294(b), 323 and 506(ii) I.P.C and Section 4 of Tamil Nadu Prohibition of Harassment of Woman Act, 1998, in Crime No.227 of 2021 on the file of the respondent police, seeks anticipatory bail.

2.The case of the prosecution is that due to previous dispute between the petitioner and the defacto complainant, the petitioner abused the defacto complainant in filthy language and also assaulted him. Hence, the complaint.

3.Today, when the matter is taken up for hearing, there is no representation for the petitioner.

4.The learned Additional Public Prosecutor appearing for the respondent police opposed for grant of anticipatory bail to the petitioner on the ground that apart from this case, the petitioner is having the following three previous cases to his credit; https://hcservices.ecourts.gov.in/hcservices/

Crime No.374 of 2020 on the file of ST Kulam Police Station for the offence u/s.452, 294(b), 323 and 506 (ii) I.P.C and Section 4 of TNPHW Act-PT 5.Considering the facts and circumstances of the case and the antecedents of the petitioner, this Court is not inclined to grant anticipatory bail to the petitioner. Accordingly, this Criminal Original Petition is dismissed.
