2. The petitioners are facing trial in C.C.No.5 of 2015 on the file of the Chief Judicial Magistrate, Madurai. It is a case arising under Sections 2,3,4 and 5 of Tamil Nadu Protection of Interest of Depositors Act 1997. The petitioners were running a financial establishment and they had committed default to the tune of Rs.37,52,470/-. There are as many as 131 depositors.

3. The learned Government Advocate fairly states that the petitioners are settling the claims of the depositors. But then, the points put forth by the petitioners are not sufficient to invoke the inherent powers of this Court for quashing the impugned prosecution.
