PRAYER: Writ Petition filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India, praying this Court to issue a Writ of Mandamus, directing the respondents No. 1 to 4 to take action against the respondents Nos. 5 to 8 and their men strictly in accordance with the direction of the Apex Court in Lalitha Kumari Vs. Govt. U.P. and another, on the basis of the petitioner's representation, dated 13.07.2025, within a stipulated time fixed by this Court.

The petitioner with a grievance that his representation dated 13.07.2025 has not been considered by the respondent police, has filed this writ petition.
2.Mr.E.Antony Sahaya Prabahar, learned Additional Public Prosecutor takes notice for the respondents 1 to 4 and submits that the complaint/representation of this petitioner was duly enquired and a criminal case has been registered in Crime No.313 of 2025, on the file of the Courtallam Police Station as against one Ganesan and 2/5
three others, for the offence punishable under Sections 324(4) and 329(4) of BNS, 2023.
3.In reply, the learned counsel for the petitioner submits that though the first information report has been registered, the respondent police has not arrayed the accused in Coloumn No.7. 4.The learned Additional Public Prosecutor submits that the case has been registered as against one Ganesan, Tamil Selvan, Raja and Soundarkannan and their names have also been mentioned in Coloumn No.7 of the First Information Report. 5.This Court considered the rival submissions made and also perused the materials placed on record.
6.The petitioner has filed this writ petition, seeking a direction to the respondent police to register his complaint. Now, it is reported that the case has already been registered in Crime No. 313 of 2025, dated 22.07.2025 as against four accused persons. Since the relief sought for in this writ petition has been addressed, 3/5
this writ petition is closed with a direction to the respondent police to conduct investigation in Crime No.313 of 2025 in a fair manner. No costs.
