This Criminal Original Petition has been filed to direct the learned Judicial Magistrate No.2, Sivagangai to complete the trial in CC.No.144 of 2019,in Cr.No.19 of 2018 on the file of the Respondent i.e.,Inspector of Police,District Crime Branch,Sivagangai District.

2. The learned Government Advocate(Crl.Side) would submit that prior to lock down four witnesses have been examined and after lock down two witnesses have been examined. There are totally 16 witnesses on the side of the prosecution and the case stands posted to 08.11.2022 for fresh summons to LW.5 to LW.9.

3. Considering the fact that the case has been taken up for trial prior to Covid.19 lock down and subsequently the lock down restrictions have been raised and trial proceedings have commenced and only now the prosecution had taken summons to LW.5 to L.W.9 and the case stands posted to 08.11.2022, there shall be a direction to the learned Judicial Magistrate No.II, Sivagangai to dispose the trial within a reasonable period 2/4

of three months from the date of receipt of a copy of this order. Further the prosecution is directed to produce witnesses promptly.

4. With the above direction, the Criminal Original Petition stands disposed of.
