This Criminal Original Petition has been filed to quash the FIR in Crime No. 4 of 2017 on the file of the respondent police.

2. Today, when the matter is taken up for hearing, the learned Government Advocate (Crl. Side) appearing for the first respondent submitted that based on a complaint lodged by the second respondent, the first respondent has registered a case in Crime No.4 of 2017 and completed investigation and about to file final report. At this stage, the FIR cannot be quashed.

3. In view of the above, the Criminal Original Petition is dismissed. However, the first respondent is directed to final report, within a period of Two weeks, from the date of receipt of a copy of the order. However, the petitioner is at liberty to challenge the final report in the manner known to law.
