Prayer : Writ Petition filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India, praying this Court to issue a Writ of Mandamus, directing the second respondent to take appropriate departmental action as against the fourth respondent to prevent further misappropriation and mismanagement in Arulmigu Meenkashi Sundareswarar Temple, situated at Poriyalar Nagar, Madurai North Taluk, Madurai District and also direct the second respondent to take necessary action to refix the stone inscription consisting of the names of the former trustees of the above temple by considering his representations, dated 20.06.2022 and 09.07.2022 within a period that may be stipulated by this Court.

ORDER

This writ petition has been filed praying for a writ of Mandamus to direct the second respondent to take appropriate departmental action as against the fourth respondent to prevent further misappropriation and mismanagement in Arulmigu Meenkashi Sundareswarar Temple, situated at Poriyalar Nagar, Madurai North Taluk, Madurai District and also direct the second respondent to take necessary action to refix the stone inscription consisting of the names of the former trustees of the above temple by considering his representations, dated 20.06.2022 and 09.07.2022. 2/5

It is submitted by the learned counsel for the petitioner that despite the fact that two representations have been filed on 20.06.2022 and 09.07.2022, wherein, various illegality and mis-management have been brought to the notice of the second respondent, these representations have failed to evoke any response from the second respondent.

3. It is submitted by the learned Government Advocate for the respondents 1 and 2 that the second respondent would consider the representations of the petitioner, dated 20.06.2022 and 09.07.2022 and pass appropriate orders within a period of eight weeks.

4. Recording the same, the second respondent is directed to consider the representations of the petitioner, dated 20.06.2022 and 09.07.2022 and pass appropriate orders in accordance with law within a period of eight weeks from the date of receipt of copy of this order. The writ petition stands disposed of. No costs.
