For R-2 : Mr.S.I.A.K.Bagadur Sha C O M M O N O R D E R The petitioners herein have been shown as accused in P.R.C.No.4 of 2013 and C.C.No.333 of 2013 on the file of the Judicial Magistrate, Nilakottai. To quash the same, these criminal original petitions have been filed.

2. During the pendency of these proceedings, the parties entered into a compromise. Joint Compromise Memos dated 20.09.2018 has also been filed before this Court.

3. The learned counsel appearing for the petitioners brought to my notice a Judgment of this Court made in (Senthil @ Senthil Kumar V. The State), dated 19.04.2017.

4. In this case, there has been a group clash involving the villagers belongs to two communities. The issue has been amicably resolved. Though some of the offences are not compoundable, in view of the compromise arrived at between the parties, the possibility of conviction is nil. As many as 95 persons have been shown as accused. Since the parties themselves have resolved the issues, it would not be appropriate to continue the impugned proceedings. Maintenance of public peace is of paramount importance.

5. In this view of the matter, the impugned proceedings stand quashed. The Criminal Original petitions stand allowed. Consequently, connected miscellaneous petitions are closed. Sd/- Assistant Registrar(Records) // True Copy // / /2020 Sub Assistant Registrar(CS) pmu 4/5
