O R D E R

This writ petition has been filed for issuance of a Writ of Mandamus directing the respondent to consider the petitioner's representation dated 07.10.2017 and issue Patta in the name of the petitioner.

2. Heard the learned counsel appearing for the petitioner and the learned Additional Government Pleader appearing for the respondent.

3. The case of the petitioner is that he is the owner of the land in S.No.1466/25 to an extent of 4 cents situated at K.Vellore Village, Neikarapatti, Palani Taluk, Dindigul District and he is in possession and enjoyment of the same for more than 30 years without any hindrance. Since the said land comes under Grama Nathan, he sent a representation to the respondent on 07.10.2017, seeking Patta under the Government Free House Scheme, for the purpose of constructing a dwelling house. But the said representation has not been considered so far. Hence, the petitioner has filed the present writ petition, seeking direction to the 2/4

respondent to consider his representation, dated 07.10.2017 and issue Patta in the name of the petitioner.

The learned Additional Government Pleader appearing for the respondent would submit that Natham Patta No.319 in S.No.1466/25 to an extent of 0.00.11 s.f., stands in the name of Kandhasamy Kudumban, S/o. Nalla Kudumban and for the said survey number, the petitioner has asked for issuance of Patta.

5. Considering the above said submissions, this Court directs the respondent to consider the representation of the petitioner, dated 07.10.2017 and pass orders, on merits and in accordance with law, within a period of four weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order.

6. With the above direction, this Writ Petition is disposed of. No costs.
