PRAYER : Criminal Original Petition is filed under Section 482 of Cr.P.C, to direct the respondent to file a final report in Crime No.1702 of 2022 on the file of the Inspector of Police, Contonement Police Station, within a reasonable time as may be stipulated by this Court.

O RDER This petition is filed under Section 482 of Cr.P.C. seeking for a direction to the respondent for expeditious investigation and to fix a specific time frame for filing of charge sheet.
2. It is submitted by learned counsel for the petitioner that on a complaint given by the petitioner / defacto complainant, the respondent Police have registered a case in Crime No.1702 of 2022, however, the investigation is not proceeded with.
3. Learned Government Advocate (Criminal Side) submitted that five witnesses were examined so far and totally, there are six accused and it is submitted further that the investigation is in progress and within a short time, the respondent Police will file the charge sheet before the concerned Court.
4. Recording the submissions made by the learned Government Advocate (Criminal Side), this Criminal Original Petition is disposed of, directing the respondent Police to complete the investigation and file the charge sheet 2/4
before the concerned Court as quickly as possible not later than eight weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order.
