ORDER : The Court made the following order :- The petitioner, who apprehend arrest at the hands of the respondent police for 1/3

the offences punishable under Sections 4(1-A) of Tamil Nadu Prohibition Act, in Crime No.279 of 2023, on the file of the respondent police, seeks anticipatory bail.

2. The case of the prosecution is that the petitioner was found in illegal possession of liquor bottles for the purpose of selling the same in high rates. Hence, the complaint.

3.The learned counsel for the petitioner submits that the petitioner is an innocent and he has not committed any offence as alleged by the prosecution. He further submitted that based upon the confession statement of the co-accused, the petitioner's name was implicated in this case.

4. The learned Additional Public Prosecutor appearing for the respondent police submitted that 11 previous cases are pending against the petitioner.

5. Considering the facts and circumstances of this case and also considering the bad antecedents of the petitioner, this Court is not inclined to grant bail to the petitioner.
