ORDER

This petition has been filed seeking direction to the respondent to expedite the inveestigation and file final report in Crime No.32 of 2020 within a time frame.

2. The petitioner is the defacto complainant in Crime No. 32 of 2020 , which was registered for the offences punishable under Sections 420 and 506(i) IPC. The learned counsel for the petitioner submits that even after lapse of one and a half year, there is no progress in the investigation. He would further inform this Court that even the statement of the defacto complainant itself has not been recorded so far.

3. The learned Additional Public Prosecutor would submit that they will complete the investigation within a period of four months and will file a final report before the concerned court.

4. Considering the nature of allegation and the offences, there shall be a direction to the respondent to record the statement of the witnesses, complete the investigation and file a find report within a period of four months from the date of receipt of a copy of this order.
