ORDER

Heard the learned counsel on either side.

2. What is under challenge is a mere summon calling upon the petitioners to attend peace committee meeting on 09.09.2014. It appears that civil suit has already been pending in respect of the subject matter. The parties will have to work out the rights only before the jurisdictional civil Court. Even if the petitioners fail to respond to the impugned summon, it will not invite any penal action. This summon will not have any legal consequence. Since the meeting date has already lapsed, nothing survives for further adjudication.

3. This writ petition is dismissed as infructuous. There shall be no order as to costs. Consequently, connected miscellaneous petition is closed. 04.07.2023 Index : Yes / No Internet : Yes / No NCC : Yes / No MGA 3/4
