PRAYER: Petition filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India, to issue a Writ of Certiorarified Mandamus, to call for the records pertaining to the order bearing No.384/VuTha.2/2025, dated 10.06.2025 passed by the 2nd respondent and quash the same and consecutively direct the respondents to grant ordinary leave for 21 days without escort to the detenue Marimuthu, son of Pandi, aged about 37 years, Convict No.6047, detained at Central Prison, Madurai. ORDER

(Order of the Court was made by A.D.JAGADISH CHANDIRA,J.) When the matter is taken up for hearing today, on instructions, the learned Additional Public Prosecutor submitted that the convict prisoner is going on leave for the first time with escort. He would further submit that the victim in this case is none other than the own daughter of the petitioner and that is the reason why he has been permitted to go along with an escort. However, he would submit that the petitioner's wife is visiting him. Taking into consideration the facts and circumstances, we do not find anything wrong in sending the petitioner along with

escort since it is for the first time and the order needs no interference. Accordingly, this Habeas Corpus Petition stands dismissed. Consequently, connected miscellaneous petition is closed.
