ORDER

The petitioner is working as Sweeper in Madurai Corporation as a contract worker. It is seen that he was involved in two criminal cases which were registered in the year 2014. But, in both cases, he had been acquitted. Yet the petitioner is being periodically summoned by the second respondent. Hence, this petition has been filed for restraining the respondents from harassing the petitioner. 2.I called upon the learned Additional Public Prosecutor to make a statement as to whether any criminal case has been registered against the petitioner in the recent past. It is fairly stated by Thiru.G.Krishnan, Sub Inspector of Police attached to the second respondent police station that no criminal case has been registered against the petitioner after 2014. Therefore, the petitioner's name can no longer be retained in the history sheet. If the petitioner's name is still retained in the history sheet, it has to be deleted forthwith.
