O RDER This Criminal Original Petition is filed under Section 482 of the Code of Criminal Procedure seeking for expeditious completion of the investigation in Crime No.6 of 2022 dated 24.02.2022.

2.It is submitted by the learned counsel that the petitioner/the defacto complainant has filed a complaint stating that the accused have committed cheating of Rs.78,00,000/- and that the police have registered a case in Crime No. 6 of 2022, there is no substantial progress, thereby sought for suitable directions to expedite the investigation.

3.The learned Government Advocate (Crl.side) on the other hand submits that the police have recorded the statements of 5 witnesses so far and the investigation is in progress and has requested short time to complete the investigation and file the final report.

4.Taking into consideration of the submissions made by both side counsel and on perusal of the records, this Petition is disposed of directing the respondent 2/4

police to expedite the investigation in Crime No.6 of 2022 and file the final report as quickly as possible, not later than eight weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order.
