O R D E R

This writ petition has been filed for issuance of a Writ of Mandamus, directing the respondents to conduct enquiry and pass orders on the representation of the petitioner dated 11.01.2021, pursuant to the proceedings of the first respondent, dated .05.2021, signed on 26.05.2021, forwarded to the fourth respondent.

2. The case of the petitioner is that she has purchased the lands in S.Nos.956 B1, 957B 2B, 957B 2C, 957B 2D and 957B 2E in Anjukulipatti Village, East Taluk, Dindigul District to an extent of 1 acre and 68 cents in Patta No.1754. Adjacent to her land, the Panchayat Road is existing in S.Nos.1042 and 1043. By mistakenly the land in S.No. 957/1 has been classified as Panchayat Road. Therefore, the petitioner 2/6

has approached the respondents to visit the field and survey the land and issue a separate patta in her name. Since there is no response from the respondents, the petitioner has made a representation to the respondents on 11.01.2021. The copy of the representation was forwarded to the Principal Secretary / Commissioner of Land Administration, Chennai -5 and the same was forwarded to the second respondent on 11.03.2021, directing the second respondent to conduct an enquiry and report to the petitioner directly. After lapse of one year and six months, nothing has been done by the respondents, except forwarding the representation. Hence, the petitioner has filed the present writ petition seeking direction to the respondents to conduct an enquiry and pass orders, on her representation, dated 11.01.2021.

Mr.D.Sadiq Raja, learned Additional Government Pleader on instructions submitted that the land in S.No.957/B1 to the extent of 0.80.50 hectares is the Sarkar Purambugal, as per UDR Scheme as well as Computer 'A' Register. According to the respondents, the petitioner is owning various extent of lands and she has also working as a 3/6

Government servant and the Rules do not permit the petitioner to seek Patta for the Government land.

4. Heard the learned counsel for the petitioner and the learned Additional Government Pleader appearing for the respondents.

5. Even though the respondents have stated that the petitioner has not entitled for Patta as per the written instruction, this Court directs the respondents to consider the petitioner's representation, dated 11.01.2021 and pass appropriate orders, after giving reasonable opportunity to the petitioner, within a period of twelve weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order.

6. With the above direction, this Writ Petition is disposed of. No costs.
