PRAYER: Criminal Original Petition filed under Section 482 of Cr.P.C, praying to direct the respondent Police especially to provide adequate police protection to the petitioner herein on the basis of the representation dated 30.08.2022 within the time stipulated by this Court. O R D E R

This Criminal Original Petition has been filed to direct the Respondent Police especially to provide adequate police protection to the Petitioner herein on the basis of the representation dated 30.08.2022 within the time stipulated by this Court.

2. The learned Counsel for the Petitioner would submit that the Petitioner was employed as a Sales Manager of Amutha Surabi Cooperative Society. He had been collecting deposit from the public and hand over the same to the Society. For the past six months the Petitioner and other employees of the Society was not paid salary. Simultaneously the Society has not paid dues to the depositors also. This Petitioner himself had preferred complaint. As per the proceedings of the first Respondent the complaint is transferred to the second Respondent and the second Respondent on instructions directed the Petitioner to appear for enquiry.

3. The learned Additional Public Prosecutor would submit that on summons the Petitioner did not appear before the second Respondent for enquiry.

4. Considering the submission of the learned Counsel for the Petitioner as well as the learned Additional Public Prosecutor the second Respondent is directed to protect the Petitioner when he appears before the second Respondent for enquiry.

5. As per the submission of the learned Counsel for the Petitioner, the Petitioner is ready to co-operate with the pending investigation, but he apprehends threat to life and limb from the respondents 3 and 4.

6. The Petitioner is directed to appear before the second Respondent and cooperate with the pending investigation and submit his representation or make his submission to the second Respondent.

7. With the above direction, the Criminal Original Petition stands disposed of.
