The petitioner herein seeks a direction to the respondent to dispose of his application dated 18.10.2014 seeking cancellation of the patta issued in the name of one Selvam, S/o.Sathan in respect of the property situated in Survey No.121/5B1, Kattukulam Village, Anandhur Group, R.S.Mangalam Taluk, Ramanathapuram District. 2.Heard the arguments of Mr.B.Mahendrarajan, learned counsel appearing for the petitioner and Mrs.K.Malathi, learned Additional Government Pleader appearing for the respondent. By consent of both sides, this Writ Petition is taken up for final disposal at the admission stage itself.
3. It is the case of the petitioner that the subject property originally stood in the name of the petitioner's father, Mari and after his demise, the petitioner has been in possession and enjoyment of the same. Hence, the petitioner has come before this Court. 4.The learned Additional Government Pleader appearing for the respondent would submit that the application of the petitioner will be considered in accordance with law.
5.In view of the same, without expressing any opinion on the merits of the matter, the respondent is directed to consider the application of the petitioner dated 18.10.2024 and pass final orders on its own merits, within a period of eight weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order, after issuing notice to the petitioner and the above mentioned Selvam. Accordingly, this Writ Petition is disposed of. No costs.
