Criminal Original Petition filed under section 482 of Criminal Procedure Code, to direct the second respondent to give adequate police protection to the life and limb of the petitioner on the basis of petitioner's complaint to the respondents-1 & 2, dated 16.04.2018.

O R D E R

This Criminal Original Petition has been filed to direct the second respondent to give adequate police protection to the life and limb of the petitioner on the basis of petitioner's complaint to the respondents-1 & 2, dated 16.04.2018.

2. It is seen that based on a complaint lodged by the petitioner, already a case has been registered by the second respondent as against the respondents-3 to 6 in Crime No.51 of 2018 for the offences under Sections 147, 148, 294(b), 323, 324, 506(ii) of IPC and Section 3(1)(r) 3 (1) (s) of SC/ST Act, and thereafter, they completed investigation and and filed final report the same has been taken cognizance on the file of the Special C.C. No.115 of 2018 on the file of the Special Court for PCR Act Cases, Tirunelveli and the same is pending for trial. Even, then the respondents-3 to 6 were threatened the petitioner with dire consequences, therefore, the petitioner has lodged another complaint and the same is pending on the file of the second respondent.

3. Considering the facts and circumstances, if there is any subsequent complaint as against the respondents-3 to 6, the second respondent is directed to take action against them, if any cognizable offence is made out.

4. With the above observations, the Criminal Original Petition is disposed of.
