ORDER

The petitioners have submitted an application on 13.04.2021 to the 3rd respondent requesting him to remove the name of Sheik Saibu from the existing patta and issue joint patta in their favour in respect of the land in Survey No.431/2. Since the said application has not been considered, the present writ petition has been filed.

2. The learned counsel appearing for the petitioners submits that the petitioners' application was enquired by the 3rd respondent, who in turn, forwarded the same to the 2nd respondent/the Revenue Divisional Officer, Dindigul, on 29.07.2022 itself. Ever after the recommendation of the 3rd respondent, the 2nd respondent has not taken any decision on 2/4

the petitioners' application. Hence, the petitioners are before this Court.

3. Ms.D.Farjana Ghoushia, learned Special Government Pleader, who takes notice for the respondents, on instructions, submits that the application of the petitioner is lying with the 2nd respondent and the same would be considered within a reasonable time.

4. Considering the rival submissions made, this writ petition is disposed of with a direction to the second respondent to conclude the proceedings and pass necessary orders in accordance with law, within a period of 12 weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order. No costs.
